Even though it isn't really Severus Snape's birthday, Alan Rickman, the actor who plays the ex-Potions Master, turns 61 today.Congrats!

Team members

I, George Weasley, now have a team member. Her name is Luna Livegood, and please comment her posts. She is new to this and might make a few mistakes, like I did.

I have invited 2 other people to be team members and they have not responded yet. There names are Pigwedgian and Cho Chang, and let's all hope they accept.

I shall be sending out more invitations to be team member's of Owl Post and let's hope they accept.

Dumbeldore's Baaack(in a new form) in Book 7

Dan Radcliffe(who plays Harry Potter in the movies) had an interesting conversation with Joanne Kathleen Rowling regarding the late(and great!) Albus Dumbledore, this is what he said in an interview:

"Jo came down to the set at one point and I said'Oh hello, why are you here today?' And she said "Oh, I just needed a break from the book-Dumbledore's been giving me a lot of trouble.' And I said 'But isn't he dead?' And she said 'Well, yeah but it's more complex . . .' I was like, OK I'm not gonna ask anything else!"

Anyway here are the updates:

• Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is coming out on July 21, next summer(2207. ( This is goin' to be one heck of a summer!)
• J.K. Rowling said it on Winter Solstice. In a way it was foretold in the Prophecy in OOP.
• 'Two figures, Pearly white as ghosts,fluid as smoke,unfurled themselves from the fragments of broken glass on the floor and each began to speak. Their voices vied together, so only that fragments of what they were saying could be heard over Malfoy's and Bellatrix's shouts. "At the solstice will come a new...."said the figure of an old, bearded man....."and none will come after,"said the figure of a young woman.The two figures that had burst from the shattered pieces had melted into thin air.'-OOP(35)
• In the middle ages the word 'hallows' was used to describe relics of saints; if someone were to 'seek hallows' it meant they were visiting shrines or relics of saints. It was believed that saints themselves were present within these objects, and that the objects served as a sort of vessel through which the saint was present on earth.
• "Deathly" can be a synonym for 'deadly' but more often it is a description not of something that causes death but of something that is subject to death, or mortal. It can also be described by something that resembles death- Voldemort's fingers are described as being "deathly" white. (OP 26)
